ROOT (14-18) on Sunday

ROOT is our Group for 14-18s (school years 10-13) meeting on Sunday evenings during term time after the 6pm service from 7.45-9.00pm at the Birchwood Centre. We hope that ROOT is a chance for us to look deeper into what it means to be a Christian today, to look at issues, discuss different views and build strong foundations that will sustain them in their faith for the future. We also want to look at ROOT as a community of older teenagers in and around North London who support each other in their faith but also have the chance to hang out together regularly. Each term we have different socials and trips, to big Christian events such as "Worship Central" or the Soul Survivor Saturday Celebration evenings but we also make time to take part in social action projects such as Besom and The Haringey Churches Winter Night Shelter as well as simply watch films together! Each year in the Spring term we go away on our weekend away. Many of ROOT attend summer camps and go as a group. We also go to Soul Survivor. In the future we hope to possibly run a ROOT mission trip, we also continue to build links with various mission Charities such as EducAid . We also seek to develop leadership skills and members are involved in the leading of some sessions.
