Audio Ministry

All sermons preached at St James's Church are recorded. You can now listen to the sermons if you have missed them, or would like to listen to them again at your leisure - at home, in the car, with friends, in your Bible study groups, etc. The cassettes (and soon CDs) also make useful gifts eg at Christmas, birthdays, baptism.

A new service to enable you to listen to sermons online via your computer or for downloading to a portable media player has recently been launched.

Tapes and CDs to order

Our vast collection of audio-cassettes, dating back to 1996, is catalogued by sermon title, Bible passage, preacher and date. Each cassette costs £2 to buy or 60p (if you can contribute financially) to loan for up to 3 weeks. Where sermons are preached in a series, they are available as a boxed set or as separate sermons. Boxed sets suitable as presents include 'A Basket of Fruit for Christmas', 'New Millennium - New Community', 'Urgent Words for the Coming Day'. Recordings of more recent sermons are also available on CD.

You can view the catalogues online for 2001, 2002 and 2004 or request a catalogue together with an order form by sending a large SAE (1st or 2nd class stamp) to:
