Parenting Courses
Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth.
Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

Children are a blessing from God, but as parents it might not always feel like that! Being a parent brings great blessings but it also brings great challenges and at times is very hard work. Some parents for instance approach the teenage years with dread.
From time to time different types of parenting courses have been run at St James. They are aimed at being realistic about what it is like to be parent and seeing how we can encourage and equip each other in that role. They also get us to think about how our Christian faith can help us in being parents, although you don’t have to be a Christian to come on the courses.
