Online Giving
Welcome to our on-line giving facility. We are so grateful that you have chosen this way to support the life, ministry and outreach of St James. All of our activities are supported by the generosity of our friends and members. We rely entirely on voluntary, sacrificial giving to continue the work that we feel God has called us to do.
If this is your first time visiting this page, you will need to set up a username and password for your own protection. If you are making a one-off gift, any information you fill in will not be stored. However, you can also use this page to set up a regular gift to St James. Obviously if you do that the information will be stored securely by our card service provider. Once you are through to the giving page you will have the opportunity to choose whether you want to give to our General Fund, which supports our on-going ministry, or to the Building for Mission Fund.
As you probably know, if you are a tax payer in the UK you can Gift Aid your gift and the church can claim back from the Government 25p for every £1 you give. We have to have a paper copy of a Gift Aid declaration but once done it is valid for six years. If you have already done this because you have given to St James in other ways before, then you need do nothing. If this is your first time giving to St James, then please fill in a Gift Aid form on one of our giving envelopes and place it in the offering.
We welcome all gifts and honour all giving; but it is a tremendous help to us if, those who can, commit to regular weekly or monthly giving. Many of us at St James adopt the Biblical tithe of 10% as a guide when we are considering how much to give to our local church. Others follow the Church of England recommendation of at least 5%. We believe that this is a matter of individual conscience and that all giving should be an act of thanksgiving and response to the generosity of God - 'God loves a cheerful giver'.
Thank you for your gift. You will get an automatic acknowledgement when it has been processed and it will show on your bank statement in about two days' time.
