Giving

11 October 2009 was our Gift Day. Here are the sermon and presentation from the day.

To help finance our ministry here at St James we aim to:

  • Honour all giving and givers equally
  • Expand the number of those who give regularly and generously
  • Grow regular income to balance regular expenditure (2010/11)
  • Adjust spending patterns to current realities without impeding ministry (2009)
  • Make financial reporting more readily available (end 2009)
  • Complete the organ fund-raising (Summer 2010)
  • Use Gift Days for new ministries and projects (2010)
  • Re-examine how we fund world mission, giving to the poor and building projects, seeking to grow giving in all three of these areas
