Creche

Our aim in the crèche is to enable parents to participate fully in the morning services. We provide a safe and friendly environment where you can be confident that your child will be well looked after. The crèche is run by volunteers who aim to provide consistent cover each week, assisted by parents helping on a rota basis.

The time is made up of playing together, maybe reading a story or two and joining in a few songs. As for snacks, you are welcome to send one with your child. Please ensure that it is clearly labelled, and please avoid snacks containing nuts for the protection of those with allergies. We are happy to change most nappies! There is a toilet nearby, and only registered helpers take children to use it.

Parents are welcome to feed in the crèche. You may like to know that there are baby changing facilities in the bookshop area, and that there is a heated area under the tower in the church building.

As soon as your child can walk confidently, they are welcome to move up to the toddler group next door, where the children enjoy running around, hearing a Bible story and singing together.

We look forward to welcoming your child into the crèche one Sunday soon!

Please contact the children’s worker, Helen, at Helen.stansfeld@st-james.org.uk if you have any further questions.
